Joe, was attacked outside the Shrewsbury House Youth Club in Everton.
Joe was an army cadet and came from the Old Swan area of Liverpool.
Joe was a member of V Liverpool Scottish Detachment of Merseyside Army Cadet Force. He had been
based at the detachment in Kensington, Liverpool, since December 2006.
He was just an everyday cracking lad who wanted to be a part of everything. Joey would put his heart
and soul into everything he did. We will all miss him tremendously.
Joseph was a lovely lad, our son and the centre of our family. he had been an army cadet for three
years and had planned to join the army

Aswell as being an Army Cadet I am also a A-Level Media Student. Our project this year is to create a documentary and my groups is on how the ACF is a good way to stop crimes such as those that cut short Joseph Lappin's life. My group have decided to dedicate our work to Joseph Lappin's memory and we are willing to show the final piece to anyone who would like to see it. Just contact me through this website if you wish to see it or find out more. All the best to his friends and family, Cdt Corporal Steve Hanmer, 17 Sussex Army Cadet Force

A rose once grew
where all could see,
sheltered beside
a garden wall,
And as the days passed
swiftly by,
it spread its branches, straight and tall...
One day, a beam of light
shone through
a crevice that had
opened wide ~
The rose bent gently
toward its warmth
then passed beyond
to the other side
Now, you who deeply
feel its loss,
be comforted ~ the rose blooms there ~
its beauty even greater now,
nurtured by
God's own loving care.

When you feel you miss me most,
As years go drifting by,
Each memory will prove to you,
That love can never die,
That while I left you far too soon,
I did not go alone,
For the father sent his angels,
To gently take me home,
Take comfort when you think of me,
Keep my love deep within your heart,
And with the warmth of each memory,
We will never be apart.

what a waste of a young life. i cant imagine what your parents and family are going through.both my nephews said what a lovely lad you were. you have really gone too soon joe. my thoughts and prayers are with you. rest peacefully. love sheila.xxxx
As a Mother, Grand-mother, Aunt, Sister. It would break my heart to suffer the way the families affected by needless violence that results in them losing a beloved member of their family have too. Senseless un-necessary loss of a life of a person that could bring so much good to society as a whole!!
Joe you was just an ordinary boy that was trying to be a good member of society from all I have heard people speak of you in the media, be proud of yourself and all that you achieved by living on the right side of the law xxx Its so sad knowing that someone/persons have come along and robbed you of your life and robbed your family and friends of a young man to be proud to know!! Look over them and help them in the dark days, weeks, months and years ahead Joe xxx
To Joe's family - My heart is with you at this sad time and your Joseph was a young man to be proud of in everyway!! I hope one day you will get justice for him xxxx
With Love always xx Julie xx
