Joe, was attacked outside the Shrewsbury House Youth Club in Everton.
Joe was an army cadet and came from the Old Swan area of Liverpool.
Joe was a member of V Liverpool Scottish Detachment of Merseyside Army Cadet Force. He had been
based at the detachment in Kensington, Liverpool, since December 2006.
He was just an everyday cracking lad who wanted to be a part of everything. Joey would put his heart
and soul into everything he did. We will all miss him tremendously.

I am so, so sorry that your fabulous son has had his life taken from him. There are no words that I can type that will ease your pain, my wonderful nephew was cruelly taken away from his family last year and its now a year on that we have finally had justice.....I hope that whoever did this to your beautiful son comes forward so justice can be served. Why is it always the good ones,why do decent parents who nurture kind good human beings have to suffer at the hands of others,they should feel the pain & then maybe things like this would stop. It is a dreadful thing that has happened to this young man. Murder ... senseless acts of violence that we just can't comprehend.
What on earth is in a human's mind that makes them want to extinguish the life of another.
It is getting to be such a sad world to live in.
Thoughts go to Joe's family - the pain must be unamaginable.
If we brought back proper corporal punishment then perhaps things like this would not happen ... who knows.
